New Sites, and Information

Hello, I hope you had a great weekend. I am fired up and ready for the Upward session, and I hope you are as well. I have created, and added the "Coaches Corner", "Referee's Corner", and the "Daily Devotion" blogs as links inside this one. David and I will work on populating those sites with relevent information this week. I have posted a general overview of the First weeks devotion on the Coaches Corner site. I have been praying for each of you, and I hope that your first week goes well. Remember that the time, and energy you spend with your kids connecting and developing a relationship with God is the most important thing.

Please look up in the top left hand corner of the Blog for some interesting links. The first is a link to the New Hope Baptist Childrens website. This site contains a lot of information about our Children's ministry. The second is a link to a video about Upward from Caz McCalin. If you have not seen this video please watch it. It is worth the time, and it will get your juices flowing for the Upward season. The Upward links are for the coaches, and referees. This is basically your "Handbook" online. Everything you need to be successful is available online.

Volunteer Meeting

We will be having a Volunteer meeting following the evaluations Thursday night. This includes, coaches, greeters, referees, and anyone else that would like to help make this season a success. Please plan on being at the church from 7 to 8 Thursday night. We plan on having some special guests to talk with each of the groups. This meeting will put some spark back into your passion for helping with this program.

Team Rosters will be distributed after the meeting.

Last Evaluation Night

David has given us the opportunity to reach out into the community one more time for the 2009 season. He has scheduled a final evaluation night for August 20th. This will be the final opportunity for kids that missed the early summer signups to get registered. I would love to see 30 new families show up Thursday night. We have plenty of room for both Football playes, and Cheerleaders. If you know of someone that might be interested please tell them to come by the church Thursday night between 6 and 7.
